I’ve started this blog, like so many others, to document, inspire, and possibly educate others as they go throughout their journey to Financial Independence. It’s for myself, and for others… a 2fer.
I’m a late bloomer… probably in more ways than one, Doh!, to the FI (Financial Independence), or the FIRE (Financial Independence/Retire Early) movement. I really didn’t start to understand how to effectively manage my finances, and start to build a plan until I was in my 40s. Yeah Brah!! I’m OLD!
I’m a divorced single dad with teenaged kids. Hopefully, I can add some alternate perspectives to approaching financial independence, and retirement.
I continue to work as a systems engineer for a technology company as my day job, and bust my hump on a bunch of side hustles and investments. I’m wicked-passionate about real estate, and truly believe this can accelerate one’s path to FI.
